Digital Science Notebook (DSN)
An entry needed for every class
to help you
Each entry should be dated and titled. Follow guidelines for organizing entries in topic folders AND for naming files. You will need to make a separate file for each entry–rather than one long documents with successive entries. Your digital science notebook will be organized in folders and files in your google drive.
Each entry should include sentences, data and images:

- Normal notes you would take. Information from the board, introductory instructions, etc.
- What you/we did
- What you/we saw
- What you/we talked about
- What you think and wonder regarding 1,2,3 and 4 above. What are your questions, ideas and reflections? (You can write about what is significant in the sketch and photo from 6 and 7 below.)
- A sketch that will help you remember and think about something significant from the class. (It could be a sketch of a thing or an idea.)
- A photo that will help you remember and think about something significant from the class. (A photo different from a photo of notes on the board.)
